I.R.I.S. 3000 Slot Machine

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

Would you like to play a game? Sorry, I couldn’t resist. If you’re a slot lover, then the I.R.I.S. 3000 is something to check out. It stands for Interactive Real Intelligence Slot. The I.R.I.S. 3000 is a 5-reel progressive slot machine. The amount of the progressive depends on the casino of course, but I’ve seen it start at $100,000 and go up from there.

I.R.I.S. 3000 is a 50-cent progressive slot machine, so it might be out of the budget of some. To start playing, you must choose five doors to open-two will be closed. It’s not that complicated. Right under each door is a button that opens and closes it.

Here’s an interesting item. If you don’t trust your own luck, you can let the machine randomly choose for you. As with all slot machines, it’s important to play max coins. If you play just two coins, only one laser beam is activated. When you play three coins, both laser beams are activated.

Once the play button is pressed, the laser beam(s) scan back and forth and randomly stops on one of the 7 doors. When the laser stops on a closed door, that door will open and the Reel activates. The open doors are the possible hits on the pay line.

You can play Bet Max to increase your payout chances. When all 7 of the doors are open, a multiplier wheel spins around. You’ll have a chance to win up to 10x with it.

To win the progressive jackpot, you need to get all 7 doors open, hit 10x on the multiplier wheel and get 5 Radiation Hazards. But remember, you must bet three credits, which is the max, to be eligible for the jackpot.

The payout for I.R.I.S. 3000 is listed on the slot machine itself. On the top are the Radiation Hazards, which are the yellow radiation symbols. Don’t confuse these with the green radiation symbols, which-aside from color-only look slightly different. The green ones are the second best pay on I.R.I.S. 3000. If you get five green radiation symbols and have max coins bet, you’ll win 750 coins, which is $375. One coin only pays 225 coins, which is $112.50.

If you are looking for a fun progressive slot machine to play, I’d check out I.R.I.S. 3000. You can find it online and the progressive is definitely nice. Except to see the I.R.I.S. 3000 progressive jackpot around $100,000 to $250,000 at good casinos. Some online casinos start the progressive much smaller-somewhere around $30,000 to $50,000.

Shopping Spree Slot Machine

Saturday, September 20th, 2008

The time has arrived to relax, to have fun and to aim for a shopping spree. If you love shopping, gather your purse and get ready to play.

Time for a Shopping Spree

At this fun slot game, you can enjoy shopping with a difference. Shopping Spree is a 5 reel, 9 payline slot game, powered by Real Time Gaming software. This exciting pursuit also features a progressive jackpot prize.

There are so many different slot games out there that the attraction is to find a theme that suits you. OK, girls, ready to shop until you drop? Perhaps you have been dreaming of a fancy shopping spree in New York? Well, this could be your big chance.

At the Shopping Spree game, if you manage to line up five diamond ring symbols on the same line, you may then choose between the jackpot prize and a $100,000 spending spree in New York. Sounds attractive? Well, prepare yourself for action and get ready to go shopping with this exciting slot game.

What you need to do at this game is to match up various shopping items on the same line. The symbols at Shopping Spree include make-up, perfume, classy shoes and dollar signs, to get you into the buying mood.

The Shopping Spree game features two possible bonus features. Obtaining three dollar sign symbols in any position will obtain you a scatter bonus. In this event, you may receive a shopping bonus of up to the amount of 350 credits.

Shopping Spree Bonus Game

Don’t you just love bonuses? Shopping Spree also hosts a special bonus game. While you are shopping around, if you manage to spin three mystery grab bags, this triggers the Mystery Grab Bag bonus game. The bonus game reveals a separate screen in which you need to search behind the question marks to expose amounts of credits. These bonus credits are added to your credit amount until you uncover the X. This special bonus attraction presents you with the opportunity of winning up to 4,000 credits.

The current value of the progressive jackpot is shown constantly during the game in the center of the screen. Once the progressive jackpot has been won, the amount returns to $25,000 and then starts to increase again. Let’s face it, even winning this beginning amount would enable rather an impressive shopping spree!

One thing I must tell you is that it is important to remember that you need to ‘bet max’ in order to be eligible to play for the progressive jackpot.

Remember shopping can be fun, especially when you have the opportunity to win your very own shopping spree!

It’s Good to Be Bad Slot Machine

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

I decided that the time had come to work some magic on my casino playing and try my luck at the “It’s Good to Be Bad” online slot. Boy, was this good! Contrary to my past beliefs, I suddenly found that it could actually be good to be bad with this Real Time Gaming slot entertainment. I would like to share my unique slot experience with you.

This online three reel slot game, with its bars, cherries and sevens, has a progressive jackpot. Unlike other slot games where you may cross fingers, toes and anything else possible in order to attempt to line up the reels on the slot and hopefully win - this game is totally different. Here, you want to keep losing in order to give you a chance to collect the progressive jackpot. Is that crazy or what? At this game, you can actually benefit by losing and continuing to lose! It goes like this - if you keep losing for 29 consecutive spins, then the progressive jackpot will be yours. It may sound wild but believe me, this produces an exciting pursuit.

The number of losing spins that you obtain will be shown on a Loss Meter on your screen. Once you manage to lose four consecutive spins, then you will receive a free winning spin. Bear in mind that if you have good or bad luck, which ever way you look at it and win instead of lose a spin, your Loss Meter will return to zero and the progressive jackpot will seemingly retreat into the distance.

The “It’s Good to be Bad” slot has the appearance of a traditional one arm bandit, except that it has two arms, one at each side. In keeping with the bad side of things, a devil figure is featured on the slot machine screen. This devil character shows how many more losses are needed until you reach another free winning spin. You may cash in your gathered free winning spins when you wish however, once you utilize your free winning spins you will not earn a loss point for that turn. On the other hand, if you do win a turn before cashing in, any free winning spins will be lost for ever. The strategy is up to you - but basically if you want to have a chance for the big jackpot, you need to hope for bad luck and aspire to lose.

I have to confess that playing the thrilling “It’s Good to be Bad” slot did not actually make me feel that bad, as I had a whole lot of fun. So, as for being bad I will have to look elsewhere, but I did enjoy great entertainment. What more can I say? Aim to lose at this fun slot game and have a good time.

Video Poker: Is It Worth It?

Monday, September 1st, 2008

Video Poker seems to be one of those games that people are a little dubious about until they give it a whirl, and the concept of it being worth it, of being able to gain an advantage is the biggest cause of this dubiousness.

I was recently assured of a way of gaining the advantage in a progressive jackpot video poker game: Of course strategies vary from game to game, particularly between wild and no-wild games. However, on a machine that pays out 8-1 on a full house and 5-1 on a flush, there is, or so I’m assured, a means of gaining the advantage.

First, locate a progressive jackpot machine whose jackpot is greater that the maximum bet x 1750; the reason that this is important is because it is only once the jackpot gets this high that the game is even with the house, therefore if the game isn’t even there is no way of gaining an advantage. Now, in theory, or at least this is what I’ve been told; with each 350 x max bet addition to the jackpot, the players advantage increases by 1%. Therefore if you come across a progressive jackpot with a jackpot 2100 x the maximum bet, you have a 1% advantage; if you find one with a jackpot 2,450 x the maximum bet you have a 2% advantage.

Unfortunately, getting to this stage of play requires a lot of time and a lot of money; more of both than most people have. Therefore short of building up the advantage as suggested above, it might be best to simply be familiar with the frequency of video poker hands, and from that determine the likelihood of gaining an advantage. The following statistics were given to me a by a guy in the industry, who claims they are the average frequency of video poker hands:

A royal flush, which is of course what we all want appears once ever 32, 680 hands; a straight flush every 10, 163 hands; four of a kind every 425 hands; a full house every 87 hands; a flush every 90 hands; a straight every 89 hands; three of a kind every 14 hands; two pair every 8 hands; and a pair every 5 hands. Now, in terms of timing, based on these statistics the average video poker machine will therefore produce a royal flush ever 60 hours of constant rapid play; a straight will appear every 6 hours or so, as will a flush; whilst a 4 of a kind will pop up on a more or less hourly basis.

Therefore the majority of the time the video poker player is playing at a disadvantage, however this will be somewhat compensated for by the more regular smaller hands. Is it possible to manipulate the outcomes, to create an advantage? In all honesty probably not, but isn’t it fun trying?

Caribbean Stud Poker Intro

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

It seems like only yesterday when this fun game started appearing in Casinos in the United States. As you might expect from the name, Caribbean Stud Poker got its illustrious start in the Caribbean. It eventually worked its way onto cruise ships and one day the game finally docked on U.S. shores.

This exciting game is now offered in just about every casino, both online and in the real world. It’s usually considered a party game, because, like Blackjack, everyone is playing against the dealer.

Caribbean Stud Poker is played on a Blackjack-style table and seats multiple players. If you’re playing the game online, you might be the only one playing-some online casinos are offering multi-player games now.

The layout for the game has three main betting areas. First, there’s the Ante spot, which is where your initial wager goes. Next there’s the Bet spot, which is why you bet to stay in the game-more on this later. Finally, there’s the progressive jackpot wager slot. When you drop $1 into this slot, you’re entered into the progressive jackpot.

Quick Game Play

In other articles, I’ll go over the game play and strategy in more detail, but for now, let’s run through the general game play of Caribbean Stud Poker.

Before the hand is played, you must enter a wager. The lowest betting limit I’ve ever seen in the real world is $5. You might find limits lower online. So, let’s imagine that you placed $5 on the Ante spot.

Next, you need to decide if you want to be entered into the progressive jackpot. If so, put $1 into the slot. You can’t be entered into the jackpot after the hand is dealt.

After all players have made these two moves, the hand is dealt. You’ll be given five cards. This game doesn’t have many big decisions. Unlike video poker, there are no draw cards, so these are the only five cards you’ll get. At this point, you need to decide if you think your hand will beat the dealer’s hand or not.

You can choose to fold now and lose your Ante wager, or you can stay in the hand and place a Bet wager. This new wager is equal to two times the Ante wager. So, if you made a $5 wager to start the hand, your Bet wager would be $10.

After all players have decided, the deal flips over his or her hand and bets are either taken or paid. At this time, any progressive winners are paid.

Time to Learn More

This article was just a quick intro to Caribbean Stud Poker. In other articles, I’ll go further into detail about playing the game, including progressive payouts, game decisions, playing strategy and more.

For now, I hope I’ve wetted your appetite for this fun game.
